ANNUAL ELECTION

At the June 1, 2022, Board of Fire Commissioners Meeting, Hanover Residents Luis Marcelo Grandal and Frederick McCarrick were recognized for their selfless and heroic efforts at a house fire back in March. At approximately 12:18 PM, On March 19, 2023, the Cedar Knolls and Whippany Fire Departments were dispatched to Daniel Terrace for the report of a house on fire. Units arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire, located at the rear of the house.

After the fire was out, firefighters identified that two civilians, Frederick McCarrick, and Luis Marcelo Grandal, demonstrated selflessness and bravery by notifying and helping evacuate the homeowners who were unaware of their house being on fire, as well as attempting to put the fire out with multiple extinguishers from their own home. Mr. McCarrick and Mr. Grandal's actions minimized the chances of injury to the residents of the house and further fire damage to the home. The Board of Fire Commissioners thanks these individuals for their quick actions, courage, and bravery on that day.

Financial Audits

Each year the District's finances are audited to insure compliance with all statutory requirements and acceptable practices.  The Annual Audits are then accepted by the Board of Fire Commissioners who also accept any recommendations that the Auditor might have to increase efficiency and conformity.  The Annual Audits are available below.
